Herald and Review Library: O'Heren, Lt. (JG) William J.; Written on back of photo; "Lt. (JG) William J. O'Heren, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. John E. O'Heren, 1404 East Prairie st., Decatur, Ill., in returning to the United States after flying 56 combat missions in an Avenger torpedo plane in the Pacific during 11 months with Composite Squadron 93. He helped damage two planes at Okinawa. Lt. (jg) O'Heren was a timekeeper-paymaster for the Wagner Malleable Iron Co. in Decatur before entering the Navy in September, 1942."
