Herald and Review Library: Nash, Stanley; Article on back of photo; "Stanley Nash, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry c. Nash of 2360 West Grand avenue, has been around the world in the last 21 months since he joined the army and became a cook on a transport ship, he reports in a letter to his parents. In New York briefly, he writes that he has been to Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and South America on a transport, that he was not allowed to wiret home until he returned to the U.S. and that he hasn't been paid for two months and won't be paid until he reaches Australia again."
