Herald and Review Library: Milligan, Cpl. Herbert E., Article on back of photo; "At an Air foce Service Command station in England 'talking 'em down' is Corp. Herbert E. Milligan, a radio telephone operator in the control tower at the air depot. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Milligan, 1503 East North street and has been in service since January, 1943. Before entering service, Corporal Milligan was employed by the Staley Company." Typed on back of photo: "Talking him down,' is Cpl. Herbert E. Milligan, above, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Milligan, 1503 East North St., a radio-telephone operator in the control tower at an VIII Air Force Service Command station in England."
