Herald and Review Library: Martin, Leo Patrick Chief Petty Officer; Article on back of photo; "Leo Patrick Martin returned recently from Dutch Harbor, Alaska, where he has been stationed for the past eleven months. He is visiting with his wife, the former Florence Brinkoetter, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Brinkoetter, 1005 Est Prairie street. Mr. Martin is a chief petty officer with a naval construction battalion. He will return to the West Coast after his leave for reassignment to overseas duty. Before entering the service in April, 1942, Mr. Martin was associated with Gauger & Diehl, accountants. He is the son of James J. Martin, Decatur."
