The marriage announcement states that Martha Annie Holbrook aged 45 of Decatur was married to Mr. Hibbs by justice of the peace J. H. McCoy in his court. This was the second marriage for both. There is no date for this entry. The obituary states that Mr. Hibbs died at 2:15 on Wednesday morning, January 5, 1928. He died in Decatur and Macon County Hospital of paralysis due to a stroke. He was born in Petersburg, Ill on August 16, 1852 and lived in Decatur the last 20 years. He was a carpenter by trade and was a member of the First Methodist Church. His children are listed in his obituary as well as siblings. Moran and Sons are in charge of the funeral and burial.
