Dorothy Kuhns, stationed at Santa Ana army air base Calif., is virtually hob-nobbing with top-flight motion picture celebrities of Hollywood in her job with the public relations headquarters and special service office of the air base. Private Kuhns has written enthusiastic letters to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John C. Kuhns, of 1492 West Decatur street, ever since she first received her California assignment. A 1941 graduate of the University of Illinois journalism school and former news reporter for the Decatur Herald and Review. Private Kuhns was immediately pout on a newspaper job upon completion of her basic training at Fort Des Moines, Iowa, early in November. She is now the only writer on the staff of the 'Cadet,' weekly publication of the base, and works a great deal with the radio production unit where she gained some of what she terms 'my most thrilling experiences.'"
