Herald and Review Library: Holloway, John T. "Jack" Article on back of photo; "John T. (Jack) Holloway was commissioned as ensign Friday in Boston. After he graduated summa cum laude from Millikin university last June, he became physics instructor for a V-12 naval unit at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, and completed two semesters of graduate work in nuclear and atomic physics.; While a student at Millikin university, Holloway was listed in the 1942-1943 issue of 'Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.' He was vice president of the Millikin Independents, a member of Phi Bi Chem, Conant Society, and Alpha Omega, the senior men's honorary society. He also acted as assistant in the physics department and was part-time instructor of the army aviation trainees on the Millikin campus. Ensign Holloway is assigned in an engineering volunteer specialists unit and will report for duty in Knoxville, Tenn., this week after a visit here with friends and relatives and with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Holloway in St. Louis."
