Herald and Review Library: Henderson, Corp. Gernon Ross; Article on back of photo: "Henderson on Furlough; Corp. Gernon Henderson of the army anti-aircraft division, who has been in Decatur on furlough visiting his wife's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy A. Stewart, 468 south Boyd street, has gone to Effingham to visit his mother, Mrs. R. E. Henderson, before returning to duty at Camp Wallace near Galveston, Texas. Before entering service in June this year, corporal Henderson made his home in Decatur and was employed at Oak ordance plant. Previously he had been associated with the Went-Noot Motor Co. of Effingham."
