Photograph of Rev. James Walton McDonald. (born 1869; died 6/16/1951) Presbyterian pastor in Decatur 23 years, leaving in 1923 for Kansas City, MO. Came to Decatur in 1901 from Logansport, IN. First pastor of the Cumberland Presbyterian church, forerunner of the Westminster Presbyterian church. At Westminster served as associate pastor with Dr. W.S. Dando. Son of Rev. J.N. McDonald of Nashville, TN. 1919 elected president of the University Club; 1910 given Doctor of Divinity degree by Cumberland university. Photo by Rembrandt Studios, ran Herald May 9, 1919.
