Photograph of James Monroe Willard; (died 4/18/1940). Macon County pioneer and extensive landowner. He was once vice president of the Municipal Electric Co. and was treasurer of the Culver Monument Co. in about 1900. Later he was one of the owners of the Continental Electric Co. He was active for many years in the Masons. He was a past master of Summit lodge, No. 431, A.F.&A.M., Harristown; and of Macon lodge, No. 8, Decatur. Photo by Nicholson of Decatur about 1895.
