Herald and Review Library: Photo of Herman L. Henson; Article on back of photo: "He doesn't want to see the world. He doesn't want to go to Hawaii. But he thinks there's nothing like Navy life. Those wer the views expressed by Herman L. Henson, son of George L. Henson, 726 West King street, who is home on a 17-day furlough after completing his preliminary training at the U. S Naval Training station, San Diego, Calif. Henson, who was selected as the honor man of his company of 110 men because of his 'outstanding ability, zeal, loyalty and worthiness' will return to San Diego Oct 18 to await an assignment to a ship in Uncle Sam's great Pacific Fleet."
