Herald and Review Library: Photo of Macon County, Draftees Standing in Front of the Courthouse; Article on back of photo; "Telling the 36 draftees who reported to receive final instructions today in the county building, that their morale in the army is up to them, Lauren Shaw, captain of Decatur's unit of the Illinois reserve, gave a brief talk on army conditions. He stressed that each man gets as much or as little fro his period of service as he chooses. These men will leave for the Peoria induction station at 7:20 a.m. Monday on the Illinois Traction railroad.
