Description
Herald and Review Library: Wilson, Lt. S. Everett; Article on back of photo; "After a year in the Pacific war theater, Lieut. S. Everett Wilson of the navy; former Decatur attorney, has come home on leave with an optimistic view on the Jap war. He has witnessed Jap warfare as a fighter director with navy aviation. The job of his group, he explained, was to control fighter planes on atolls and islands, intercept enemy air raids and handle rescue work for pilots who go down at sea. 'From a military standpoint,' Lieutenant Wilson says, 'the Japs are always stupid, fanatical and entirely without imagination or ingenuity. We found them poorly equipped wherever we went."
