Herald and Review Library: Threlfall, 2nd Lt. Stanley N., Article on back of photo; "Stanley Threfall, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Threlfall of 236 North Taylor street, was commissioned a second lieutenant in the army air corps upon graduation from Brooks Field army air school at San Antonio, Texas, last Thursday. the new pilot entered the army coast artillery in June 1941, receiving his first training at Camp Wallace, Texas. He was recommended for air force officers training and began flight instruction last may. Before entering the service, he was employed by Decatur Paint and Varnish Co. and Morehouse and Wells. he was graduated from Decatur high school."
