C., Decatur Coast Guard Lieutenant on Pacific Invasion Duty; Coast Guard Lieutenant Herbert E. Schwalbe, husband of Mrs. Anne Schwalbe, of 380 S .17th St., Decatur, IL., is on Coast Guard-manned LST duty in the South Pacific. he acts as LST Group Supply and Disbursing officer. A veteran of 18 years service, Lieutenant Schwalbe was stationed in the American and European theaters and did convoy and escort duty in the Mediterranean sea. He has a boy, Stuart, aged 10 and a girl, Linda, aged 4."
